Time to Focus on What Matters and Put Community First in Ward 4
I am proud to call Oshawa home and honored to put my name forward as a candidate for Ward 4. I believe great leadership begins with listening—listening to families working hard to make ends meet, seniors who have built this community, young people seeking opportunity, local businesses striving to survive and grow, diverse individuals in need, and to all residents across this Ward and beyond.
My vision is a Ward 4 where voices truly matter, neighborhoods are valued, and decisions are made with honesty, transparency, and common sense. In the months leading up to Election Day, I will be sharing the full details of my platform with the community.
My decision to serve is not based solely on professional experience, but on living the same realities as my neighbors. Like many Oshawa residents, I understand the pressure of rising living costs, housing market strains, taxes, inflation, and public safety concerns. I have experienced economic uncertainty firsthand and know the emotional weight of seeing a business close due to forces beyond one’s control. These experiences ground me and shape my leadership—focusing on practical solutions, fairness, empathy, and long-term stability for our community.
I bring a strong academic foundation and decades of professional leadership. I hold a Master of Business Administration from McGill University, along with certifications in Project Management and Innovation from the University of Toronto. I also earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations and completed studies in the arts in Spain. Together, these experiences have sharpened my ability to think strategically, analyze complex challenges, communicate clearly, and navigate diverse perspectives. I am fluent in French and other languages—a strong asset in a city that continues to grow in diversity and opportunity.
For more than twenty years, I built my career at a financial institution, leading complex, multimillion-dollar projects across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. My work spanned operations, finance, human resources, mergers and acquisitions, and both retail and commercial banking. These roles demanded accountability, financial discipline, and measurable results under pressure. Municipal leadership requires these exact same standards—responsible stewardship of public funds and decisions that directly impact people’s daily lives.
Beyond corporate leadership, I understand frontline realities. I worked directly with customers in Montreal at Simons and Hudson’s Bay, and held retail management roles overseas. These experiences reinforced the importance of service, efficiency, and respect for workers, while offering firsthand insight into the challenges small businesses face, especially during economic volatility.
My commitment to community extends beyond my professional life. For over twelve years, I have been the proud caregiver of three adopted dogs—a responsibility that reflects my values of compassion, patience, and long-term commitment.
I am a proud member of the Rotary Club, regularly volunteer at community events, and advocate strongly for fairness and inclusion. I listen attentively, act thoughtfully, and remain focused on realistic solutions that improve everyday life. I am driven by results, not rhetoric.
Ward 4 does not need empty promises or political shortcuts. It needs leadership rooted in experience, guided by empathy, and driven by results. I am ready to listen, ready to work, and ready to serve with integrity and purpose.
The future of Ward 4 will be shaped by the choices we make today. The real question is not whether change is coming—but whether we are prepared to lead it wisely, responsibly, and together.
